Additional useful information
Use this Scanual guide to identify SwitchBot Curtain 3 Motorized Curtain Controller, follow official setup and reset guidance, and match power, radio, mounting, hub, and regional accessories to model Curtain 3.
SwitchBot Curtain 3 is a rechargeable Bluetooth curtain motor sold in Rod, U Rail, and I Rail variants, with calibration and optional hub-based remote or Matter control.
Setup: Identify Rod, U Rail, or I Rail before opening adapters, charge by USB-C, install without track interference, add over Bluetooth, and calibrate fully open and closed positions. Center-open curtains use two motors.
Reset: Remove the device from its prior SwitchBot account where possible, then use the Curtain 3 button/reset sequence from support and repeat calibration. A recalibration alone retains ownership.
Troubleshooting: Slipping or stalling requires checking rail variant, adapters, telescoping joints, curtain weight, wheel friction, battery charge, and calibration. Matter problems should be tested first in SwitchBot Bluetooth and hub views.
Compatibility and ecosystem boundary: The three rail packages are mechanically different. Bluetooth works locally, while cloud and Matter need a compatible SwitchBot hub; Matter further needs a separate controller and exposes only supported functions.
Maintenance and accessory matching: Use USB-C charging or Solar Panel 3 with the exact mount, keep track joints smooth, and recalibrate after moving hooks. Do not infer a one-motor solution for center-opening curtains.
Published checkpoints: Generation: SwitchBot Curtain 3. Mechanical variants: Rod, U Rail, and I Rail are distinct packages. Radio: Bluetooth for direct app control. Battery: built-in 3350mAh rechargeable cell. Charging: USB-C. Published endurance: up to about eight months under test conditions. Motor load: up to 16kg under supported track conditions. QuietDrift: slow low-noise movement mode. Center-open curtains: normally require one motor for each side. Solar option: SwitchBot Solar Panel 3 with exact variant mounting. Remote and schedules: cloud access requires a compatible SwitchBot hub. Matter: supported exposure requires Hub 2 or Matter-enabled Hub Mini plus a separate Matter controller. Setup/reset: choose rail type, install correct adapters, then calibrate fully open and closed positions.
