Additional useful information
Identify Roku Streambar SE by 9104R, then use this source-reviewed page to check its video, audio, network, power, remote, connection, reset, and exact accessory requirements before replacing parts.
Roku Streambar SE 9104R is a compact stereo soundbar with a built-in 4K Roku player. The official hardware table lists 4K60 with HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG, correcting the baseline's earlier HD-only description. For installation, Roku prefers HDMI ARC. If the television has no ARC port, connect HDMI for video and optical for television audio. Enable ARC and CEC, center the bar, and keep its front unobstructed. A critical audio caveat is that Roku instructs users to set the television to PCM-Stereo because Streambar SE cannot play Dolby or DTS input formats. Wi-Fi handles normal networking; an optional 10/100 USB-A Ethernet adapter must use an AX8877X or SMSC95XX chipset, and Gigabit adapters are unsupported. Bluetooth phone audio and direct Headphone Mode are supported. For bass expansion, Roku lists Wireless Subwoofer models 9200 and 9201, but explicitly excludes Roku Wireless Speakers from Streambar SE. If picture or sound fails, check input, ARC/CEC, optical caps and seating, PCM output, HDMI/HDCP, power, and software before factory reset. Reset removes the account, apps, wireless audio pairing, networks, and sound settings. Accessories for original Streambar 9102 are not automatically compatible.
- Networking: Wi-Fi with optional 10/100 USB-A Ethernet adapter
- Ethernet adapter: Requires AX8877X or SMSC95XX chipset; Gigabit adapters are unsupported
- Bluetooth: Supports phone audio streaming and direct Bluetooth Headphone Mode
- Audio expansion: Compatible with Roku Wireless Subwoofer, not Roku Wireless Speakers
- Remote: Includes a Roku remote with television power and volume control through supported setup
- Name correction: Streambar SE is a 4K HDR player, not an HD-only device
