Google Nest Hub second generation is a camera-free seven-inch smart display with Soli sleep sensing, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Chromecast, Matter control, and Thread border routing.
Setup: Place the display on a stable surface, attach its 15W adapter, add it in Google Home, assign a room, and position it according to Google's instructions before enabling Sleep Sensing.
Reset: Press and hold both rear volume buttons for roughly ten seconds until the display confirms reset. This clears account, network, room, Matter, and personalization state.
Troubleshooting: For a boot or setup problem, check the exact adapter, outlet, app permissions, network security, and router reach. Thread accessories also require the correct Matter fabric and current hub firmware.
