Level C-L11U Lock+ is a complete hidden smart deadbolt with Bluetooth, NFC Apple home key, a CR2 battery in the bolt, and exact door-prep requirements.
Setup: Measure the door against Level's checker, install the complete C-L11U latch, exterior, and interior assemblies, insert a CR2 cell, calibrate in Level, then add Apple home key if supported.
Reset: Use Level's owner-transfer or remove-device flow first, then the C-L11U physical reset procedure and calibration. A destructive reset removes digital keys and ecosystem relationships.
Troubleshooting: Binding is mechanical until proven otherwise: test latch travel with the door open, align the strike, check tailpiece and cable seating, install a fresh CR2, and repeat calibration.
Compatibility and ecosystem boundary: C-L11U provides Apple home key but should not be called a Matter lock solely because later Level Lock+ versions advertise Matter. Home-key devices, Apple software, and home-hub requirements also apply.
